This silver ring emulates driftwood found on Shetland’s shore. Silver Birch fragments peel off trees in Canada and drift across the Atlantic Ocean to our west shores. It is given many names depending on which part of Shetland they are found. Sometimes WIllie Lowe - a jokey name as 'lowe' means 'take fire' and these were used as firelighters in the past. Also known as Willie Gunn's Candles, Da Goonie Man's Candles and Neverspel. This ring can be worn or displayed as a beach treasure. (please note the colour of the ring will fade to silver when worn).
